The PineBridge India Equity Fund invests in Indian-listed equities seeking long-term capital appreciation and has delivered consistent outperformance.

The Manager employs a structured and sequential investment process that starts with idea generation and research and screens using its proprietary Fundamentals, Valuation and Risk (“FVR”) analytical approach to stock selection. The process is followed by investment review and portfolio construction, emphasizing adequate equity diversification as a risk management measure. The fund has access to substantial investment resources, split between an experienced, seven-person, on-the-ground team in India and industry-expert clusters globally.

We were impressed with the well-developed use of ESG for an emerging market like India. PineBridge has developed a proprietary ESG database and has incorporated ESG into its equity workflow investment “GO” notes for stock selection. Noted the portfolio team is experienced and stable throughout the past three years. ESG is incorporated into their equities workflow and is a required step in their stock selection process. For listed equity assets, they follow proxy voting procedures to ensure that their vote proxies in their clients' best interests.

The fund has generated excellent performance with net returns 301+ basis points above its benchmark on a one, five, and seven-year period.
