The Pictet – Global Environmental Opportunities Fund is a focused, impact investment fund that uses a highly sophisticated methodology to achieve its environmental goals while also delivering financial performance.

The fund invests globally in equities of companies involved in energy efficiency, clean energy, and water, sustainable agriculture, and forestry, and other environmental value chain funds.

To guide its core investment theme, the Manager uses a unique scientific framework, “Planetary Boundaries,” which gives the most up-to-date consensus of the planet’s most pressing environmental challenges across nine dimensions. It is used to filter and screen potential investee companies who are then assessed for thematic purity and scored. Companies that pass these hurdles then undergo more traditional investment analysis before any investment is made.

Pictet has also made impressive efforts to report and measure the fund’s contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG). It does this by producing its scores, involving a mixture of proprietary A.I. data and fundamental data.
