Yi-Chen is responsible for environmental, social and governance (ESG) research, integration and stewardship activities with a primary focus on South and Southeast Asia. Prior to joining Manulife Investment Management, she served as the Director, Sustainable Finance at Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC) where she advised and executed sustainable finance transactions (e.g. green/ sustainability-linked loans, green/social/sustainability/sustainability-linked bonds) covering corporates across real estate, utilities, commodities and transportation sectors in the Asia Pacific region.

She also gained extensive experience in integrating ESG principles in the investment and financing practices during her tenure at a Singapore-based private equity fund and the Dutch Development Bank (FMO), focusing primarily on renewable and infrastructure assets in emerging Asian markets. Yi-Chen currently chairs the Energy Transition Working Group of the Asia Investor Group on Climate Change (AIGCC).
