Victor joined Hang Seng Investment Management Limited (“HSVM”) in 2021 and is a Head of Equities in the Equities Team. He is responsible for managing institutional and retail portfolios covering Asian / Chinese equity related strategies. Prior to joining HSVM, Victor held the position of Head of Investments, North Asia, at Daiwa Asset Management (HK) Limited, where he served from 2007 to 2021.

During his tenure at Daiwa, he formulated investment strategies, provided guidance to the investment team, and set the research agenda. He also managed and advised fund mandates in Asia and Greater China, as well as various thematic funds for the group. The funds under his management consistently outperformed the relative benchmarks. Notably, the flagship China Equities Fund that he managed from 2018 to 2021 was ranked among the top of peer China funds in Japan. Before joining Daiwa, Victor worked as a fund manager at Argyle Street Management, a special situation hedge fund.  In this role, he was responsible for analyzing and executing investments in private and public equities, as well as debt transactions in the Greater China region.

Prior to Argyle Street Management, Victor served as a corporate finance associate in the debt markets team of ICEA Capital, the investment banking arm of ICBC, where he gained experience in advisory services for debt and equity transactions, as well as merger and acquisition deals for listed companies. Victor holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hon) degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and is a CFA charterholder.
