Serena is the Board Governor and Honorary Secretary at Friends of the Earth (Hong Kong), with a focus on Green and Sustainable Finance development in Asia. Serena is currently working in the Sustainable Finance team within the banking industry, and is an adjunct associate professor at the University of Hong Kong. Prior to her current role, she was the Head of ESG Funding with an international consumer finance with a focus on responsible lending.

Serena also has over 15 years of experience with Goldman Sachs treasury and market operations in Singapore and Hong Kong, with focus on liquidity management and payment transaction surveillance across the APAC region. Ms. Mak is a Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA), FRM, and CPA. She holds a master's degree in corporate finance and a bachelor's degree in global business from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
